Headquarters/Visitor Center Information

Visit us at our headquarters visitor center on Ski Hill Road in Soldotna, Alaska. The center is open year round except for winter holidays. Summer hours begin June 1 and last though Labor Day with weekday hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and weekend hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. From Labor Day through May, hours of operation are weekdays: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and weekends: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Visitor Contact Station

If you are traveling in summer in the eastern portion of the refuge, visit our contact station at mile 58 Sterling Highway. Hours of operation starting the second week of June through mid August are, 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. daily. The visitor contact station is also open Saturday and Sunday on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Cabin Reservations cannot be made at the visitor contact station.
