Recreation Opportunities

This cabin offers seclusion and fair fishing for Rainbow Trout. The boat provided at the cabin provides the anglers enhanced opportunities to catch rainbow trout. Wildlife includes moose, black and brown bears and wolves. Hunting is allowed for these species in designated seasons. In the winter there is cross-county skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Contact the Kenai Refuge for snowmobiling regulations in this area. Review Alaska Department of Fish and Game hunting and fishing regulations.

Special Considerations

The seclusion of this cabin necessitates being prepared to handle any emergency situation. Inclement weather may cause an unexpected extension of the trip. Bringing a personal cooking stove is recommended. Carry in potable water or boil surface water 5 minutes before drinking. Users must provide a U. S. Coast Guard approved flotation device for each passenger aboard the boat, and use boats at their own risk. Remember to pack out your trash. Contact the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge office at (907) 262-7021 for more detailed information.
